Depending on how you use CloseMe, the app may collect the following types of information:

• Emotional states or “pulses” that you choose to record or share.
• Optional notes you attach to a pulse.
• Optional photos you attach to a pulse.
• Optional audio you record and attach to a pulse.

• Technical and analytics data, such as device type, app version and usage events.
• Information needed for safety, support and the basic functioning of the app.

Some features rely on device permissions that you can grant or deny:

• Camera — used to scan QR codes or to capture optional photos.
• Microphone — used only when you choose to record optional audio.
• Notifications — used to deliver optional pulse reminders.

Emotional pulses and the notes, photos or audio you attach can reveal how you feel. We consider this sensitive in terms of your experience, and we aim to be clear about how it is used and shared.

Sharing in CloseMe is intended to be opt-in and scoped to the circles you choose. You should only share what you are comfortable sharing.

• To provide core features such as pulses, circles, notes, photos and audio.
• To deliver reminders and notifications you have enabled.
• To keep the app secure and to investigate abuse or technical issues.
• To understand usage at an aggregate level and improve the experience.
• To respond to your support and privacy requests.

Content you choose to share is visible to the friends or circles you select. We do not sell your personal information.

We may use service providers (for example, for hosting, analytics or notifications) who process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide CloseMe and for legitimate purposes such as security, support and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

• Access, update or delete your account information.
• Control what you share and with which circles.
• Manage or revoke camera, microphone and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Contact us to make a privacy request.

CloseMe is not directed to children below the age required in your region. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy as CloseMe evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
